Residential market in Poland Q2 2019
In Q2 2019 sales in six major markets dropped 8% q-o-q, mainly due to rising prices and decreasing supply. Though Wroclaw reached record high supply.
In Q2 2019 there were significant decreases on the residential development market compared to the preceding quarter, with regard to both the number of units put on sale and the number of units sold.
14,900 new flats were released on the six major markets, while the number of units sold exceeded that number by only 200. The number of flats available therefore stayed at a similar level to the preceding quarter i.e. 51,300. Meanwhile, rising prices have prevented a fall in sales revenue commensurate to the fall in the number of transactions. The higher prices mean that rising construction costs can be met while maintaining satisfactory margins.
