This International Women’s Day and every day, we are proud to recognize our inspiring women leaders and allies at JLL.
Who is a female inspiration/role model to you and why?
I’m inspired by many women in both my personal and professional life - including the women who have not yet found their voice. I am surrounded by such a diverse group of women, including my stepdaughters, the female leaders that stand beside me every day to serve our inspirational client and those who I get to collaborate in the wider JLL. I am truly inspired by the diverse aspects of each person and appreciate seeing the world through their unique lenses.
Why does inclusion matter to you?
It simple - because everyone’s voice is important and valuable. I firmly believe leadership is about empowering those around you, listening and giving people the opportunity to spark and be part of the conversation.
How are you inspiring women to achieve their ambitions at JLL?
By providing aspiring leaders an opportunity and a seat at the table and by affording them the opportunity for exposure to grow professionally and personally. My advice for anyone at JLL or wanting to join JLL is to be authentic, be You, bring your whole self to the workplace - that’s what makes you unique and as a firm we need this and celebrate it! I have always felt a deep responsibility to help others achieve their ambitions, including inspiring the next generation of leaders in CRE. My stepdaughter, Lauryn, recently wrote a paper in college expressing her interest in following my footsteps into CRE and how a key part of my role is working in partnership with my client. I aim to make our dinner conversations meaningful and fun to show the opportunity of the great industry that we are in.
Who is a female inspiration/role model to you and why?
Michelle Obama is my inspiration. She is the epitome of balancing work and personal life and still finding time for your own passion projects.
Why does inclusion matter to you?
Everybody’s voice is equal and important.
